Before You Book
Maidens & Ravens is open by appointment. To book, use the booking button and tell me roughly when you’d like to come — I’ll come back within a working day with some dates and times. If normal shop hours don’t suit, just say, and I’ll do my best to work around you.
I don’t charge for appointments or take deposits. All I ask is that you let me know as early as you can if you need to cancel, so I can offer the slot to someone else.

How It Works
Settle in with a drink and we’ll have a proper chat — about your wedding, the styles you’re drawn to, and what you’re hoping to find. You’ll pick your favourites to try, and I’ll pull a few wildcards too. One has a habit of turning out to be The One.
A private changing room and plenty of space. I’ll step in to help fasten you — corsets and long zips aren’t a solo sport — and you’ll always be treated with respect, whatever your shape. No limits on dresses, no rules about photos. Small favours: no fake tan, and go easy on the makeup.
No hard sell; it’s not my style. Fall for a dress on the day — wonderful. Need to go away and think? Completely fine, and you’re always welcome back to retry your favourites with a clear head.
You’ll usually pay before you leave. Commissioned For You dresses take a 50% deposit to order, with the balance due when your dress arrives. Please note that by their nature all dresses are non-refundable — but if you ever have concerns, talk to me and I’ll always do my best to help. Your dress can stay with me until your first fitting with a trusted local seamstress, or you’re welcome to take it away.
I’ll stay in touch the whole way through, so message me any time for advice on accessories, a second opinion, or just to talk weddings — I never tire of it.
I never get bored of seeing my queens on their day. Send me your photos — the whole album, please — so I can feel like I was there.
