You’ll find us through the bar walls — the traditional royal entrance to the city — on one of the handsomest streets in York, all Georgian frontages and cobbles, used so often as a period-drama film location you may recognise it before you arrive.
Small but perfectly formed, Maidens & Ravens is emphatically not your traditional grey-and-white bridal shop. The vibe is colourful and pretty, a little vintage, with a thread of darkness and no end of curious details. I do not do minimalist here. When you book in, the whole space is yours — one bride at a time, no browsers wandering through. Just you, the dresses, and me. And if you keep your eyes open, you’ll spot the ravens.
